Love thursday, b00b tube edition

there and back again...

Well, looks like after a couple of years using Typepad to publish my blog, I'm back here at Blogspot! I had originally gone to Typepad four years ago because Blogspot didn't offer enough control over templates/viewing as I liked. But things have really improved over here in Blogpsot land so I'm back... (plus the fact that Typepad raised its yearly rate to $95 and I couldn't justify that kind of outlay for what was essentially a hobby).

You can find my Typepad blog here if you still want to visit. I will probably eventually export the whole thing and maybe shut it down. We'll see...

I'm moving!!!!!!

I've been blogging for over two years now...my blogversary was actually March 13th! Hard to believe, but I've got over 500 posts here.

In the past few months I've gotten more and more frustrated with Blogger & the lack of the ability to customize by blog. Basically since I switched to Blogger Beta, it's been one thing after another. A really big PITA is my inability to reply to people's comments. As any blogger knows, comments are wonderful and I love replying to them. But Blogger Beta doesn't allow me to reply through email and when I tried using Haloscan to track comments, I lost all my Blogger comments.

So I've been looking around at other blog sites and finally settled on Typepad. The switchover has been mostly painless (still figuring out some things) and so far it looks good to me.

Come on over and take a look at my new place. Let me know how it looks for you! Update your bookmarks/feed readers!!! (My new blog has a built in feed subscriber at the bottom- yay!).

This blog will stay open indefinitely but I won't be posting here any longer. I'm debating whether to transfer it over- tho it'd be a hecka lot of work.

Oh, and fittingly, Love Thursday will be the first official post over there. See ya there!

hang in there

just a fyi- I'm wrestling with Blogger beta, which doesn't seem to like the changes I made to my previous template. I also tried installing Haloscan for comments, but now I can't get to any of the archived comments in Blogger.

*bangs head on desk*

Can y'all help a girl out and leave me a comment to make sure this damn thing is working? Does the blog layout look alright? I have Firefox and just want to make sure that all my tinkering didn't totally screw up the html for other browsers.

thank you much and we'll return you to your regularly scheduled program asap.

ps: LittleMan wanted me to 'put this on the computer', so here it is:

ETA: Haloscan has been disabled until they figure out a way to install onto Blogger Beta without removing the exisiting comments.
